LYNETTE STRYKER 1956-2017 Lynette Stryker (nee Anderson), 60, passed away peacefully Feb. 19, 2017, at home after a brief illness, surrounded by her daughter and family, in Henderson. She was born July 2, 1956, to Ralph and Beverley Anderson, in Payson, Utah, and was raised in Saratoga, Calif. As a young woman, she served an 18-month mission in southern Italy for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worked as a disc jockey for KSOP 104.3 FM in Salt Lake City. Lynette graduated from California State University, Fullerton and became a talented graphic artist who affiliated with many advertising agencies and public relations firms in southern Nevada over the past 24 years, most notably Faiss Foley Warren (FFW) Public Relations and Public Affairs. Through her relationship with FFW, she designed many award-winning projects for such high-profile clients as Springs Preserve, Cox Communications and Summerlin. She was a highly regarded and much-admired consultant, artist and friend. Above all, Lynette was devoted to her daughter, Carrie Ann Stryker, her LDS faith and serving others, giving of her time and talents as Relief Society President and Young Women's President. After losing her husband, Phil, Feb. 21, 2016, her kindness and service to others was reciprocated by the many friends who supported her. Lynette was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Anderson; mother-in-law, Naomi Stryker; and husband, Phil Stryker. She is survived by their daughter, Carrie; her mother, Beverley Anderson-Elder; siblings, Ralph Anderson, Ken Anderson (Christy), Yvonne Flitton (Chris) and JaNean Maxfield (Eric); father-in-law, John Stryker; brother-in-law, John Stryker (Karen Buckingham); and sister-in-law, Elaine Stryker; along with many nieces and nephews. Services will be at noon Thursday, March 2, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2497 Cozy Hill Circle, in Henderson. Burial will be at 10:40 a.m. Friday, March 3, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, in Boulder City.
